So-(good Lord, help me)- are you asking if this is some kind of "diet " that would be good for you to get back on track on? Sounds like a bunch of processed bull-crap to me. what kind of surgery have you have? How far out are you? Are we talking about loosing more weight-maintining goal-regain- what? There seems to be a few tried and true "go-to" staples: 1. get your liquids in--90+ oz. a day- non caloric, 2. protein first (80g. a day of lean, homemade type), 3. (not to encourage a war- but think most would agree-) leave the superr refined- overly processed white-carbs alone--sugar, refined white carbs. Your sleeve will take care of itself...if you feed it well.... I think the more processed the food- the more likely you will be to "crave" for slider types of foods--those calories beget more calories and lead to weight gain. Plain, clean eating leads to satisfaction. Just my experience.

Holy cow! If I ate 3 Atkins bars in a day I would be as big as a house! Not to mention the sugar alcohols would give me the runs and gas like you wouldn't believe. What's wrong with eating actual food?
I know I'm not a veteran, just 5 months post-op, but the thing I have learned is that I cannot eat processed food at all. The only grain I eat is oatmeal. I gave up white foods. I eat a lot of fish, shrimp, and chicken. plus a small amt of salad with no more than 1TBS dressing,or a little roasted vegetable. I do drink a daily protein drink, Syntax Nectar Fuzzy Navel. It takes great and it doesn't have the texture of milkshake, which I can't stand. It's more like Tang or juice, without all the calories. No carbs, 25gm protein.
If you truly want to lose weight you're going to have to eat more protein and a lot less carbs, and drink a lot of water or non-caloric liquids. Weigh and measure your foods and keep a food diary so you know exactly what you're eating. Make a calorie limit and stick to it. You will be far more successful with this diet than your made up Atkins bar/Protein shake diet.
