I'm officially sleeved!!!!

Had surgery this morning at 1045am! When I first woke up I had a little nausea  and moderate pain. Within 15 minutes I had my pain pump and anti-nausea med and I'm feeling pretty darn good! I've been dozing off and on all day (between the couple times I got up to walk a little bit). So far so good! Eating ice chips and resting. Thank you for your good thoughts and prayers!

Lucky you with the ice chips. My surgeon would not allow any liquids for 24hours.  It was the worst part of the surgery.

So glad to hear all went well! Its rough the 1st couple weeks, but just keep in mind it is only temporary. Everything will get easier and you will feel better with each passing day! Congrats on your surgery and new beginning! 

Thanks! I've been a bit nauseous, the seems to be the biggest hurtle so far. That and I don't have much energy. I'll keep telling myself "tomorrow will be better tomorrow will be better!"

Congratulations!  Just a fyi, after surgery my DD and sister both suffered nausea and both stopped having it after being taken off the pain pump to go home.  When I pushed the button a few times I realized I was getting nauseous.  We had morphine in the pump.  Not sure what you have or if you could be sensitive to it.  I just throw it out there in case I can save someone the awful nausea my Sister and DD had.

Now get walking and will keep sending good thoughts your way.

Oh I hadn't even thought of that! I'm getting dilaudid due to morphine allergy but I bet you're right. I'll stop pushing the button for a while and see if that helps. Thanks!
