My husband's VSG is finally scheduled for July 3rd - and I can't tell you how excited I am for oh so many reasons!!  First of all - I'm excited for him to feel what I've been feeling since my own surgery in Dec.  That feeling of getting your life back, of improving your standard of living!  But I'm also excited to get back to basics.  Once he has his surgery, I'm going back on the liquid diet with him.  I think it will help us both.  After surgery, I felt like I was going through it all alone.  I want to be there for him, letting him know I understand.  Of course, everything won't be the same...  But I think it will help if he's not feeling deprived the first few weeks.  Anyone else out there do this with their significant other?

I had surgery on March 12 and my husband had it on march 26. It has defenitely made this journey easier sharing the ups and down with him. Good luck to you both!
