How do you deal with these comments?
OK this is totally outside my experience, but I've been hearing stuff like this a lot lately: "How much more weight are you trying to lose?" "When are you going to stop losing weight?" "If you lose any more weight you might blow away"
I've just finally gotten comfortable with people telling me I look good, now I have this new situation to face. Sometimes I just don't want to interact with people at all. Does anyone have suggestions for how to deal with these comments? I want to just tell them to mind their own business, but I have to be diplomatic with my co-workers.
It's a personal decision, but I have gotten to the point where I don't mind talking about my weight. I'll just tell them that I am trying to get down to a healthy weight of 160 pounds, so about 60 more pounds. But it's totally fine to not want to talk about it either, you could just say something like "I am just trying to get to a normal weight range for my size" or something like that.
I've been getting some of this lately. I jut say I'm still overweight, and want to lose a little more. I don't give them numbers, and I just pretend its a compliment.
best wishes,
Carol

People at work have begun to see my weight change and say "You've lost some weight huh? You look good." Which hey, is not invasive, until you get those other people that probably aren't fond of you and ask what you'v pointed out. I just flat out say that I'll lose whatever needs to be lost an I'll leave it up to my body to decide, and give them thanks for noticing.
"Thanks for your feedback!" And change the subject.
If the person doesn't get the hint, "That's not something I'm interested in discussing with you." Followed by a change in subject.
Or, "I'm under the supervision of my medical team." Change the subject.
