set back..

I've been calling my insurance to keep up with approval after I found out the Dr's office didn't send my stuff in when I was told they did. I called yesterday and they told me my request had been looked at and one of the codes was denied.. That would be the big one to remove the band and do the sleeve. So the whole surgery.  They said the next step is for my doc to do a peer to peer with the insurance doc. So now I wait some more and see if that will get me approved. ugh.

I know it's hard but try not to get discouraged. My insurance denied my surgery twice due to one silly reason then another. I won't bore you with the details. However after the surgeons office appealed it a 3rd time they were able to get it approved. Everything happens for a reason. I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to receive good news soon. 

Thank you for the kind words. I'm trying not to dwell on it and realize that I probably wouldn't have known about the denial if I hadn't called insurance directly. I'm hoping the doctor will take care of it without me having to do anything else. The last 12 months haven't been great so I think I'm getting a little to used to disappointment. Hopefully I will get better news next week.
