Looks like my weight loss ha**** a plateau already and it's only been 3 weeks today since surgery! Can anyone tell me what to do to get back on the losing wagon? I lost 30 pounds the first 2 weeks and I have another week of the pureed diet Any help or ideas would be appreciated...Thanks!

It's normal.  Many people seem to hit a stall at 3 weeks.  I did myself--I stalled for 2 1/2 weeks but then had a big loss the following week.  Your body has been through alot in the past few weeks and it needs to catch up.  Relax and just follow your doctor's rules.  I promise you it will start up again.  AND 30 lbs in 2 weeks is amazing!!!!

Happened to me too. Lost 1 pound in two weeks! I'm 6 weeks out and down 21 since surgery and 32 including pre-op.

You are doing well, just keep plugging away!

My only advice is step away from the scale, and keep doing what you are supposed to be doing. They weight will come off.

I have stopped weighing myself daily. I only weigh myself once a week. Keeps me from losing my mind LOL

Your'e doing great! And I second this reply, in fact my surgeon and NUT advised highly against weighing myself on a daily basis, so I weigh myself once a week, and that day is on Monday morning fresh out of bed, after my morning bathroom break, and before I put anything in my mouth, and I weigh myself with just my birthday suit on.. this is what I was told to do by my Bariatric team, it gives you the best weigh in and the best number. Good luck, and keep us posted!

I weigh myself daily and use TrendWeight to track.  It's amazing.

Totally normal to stall.

You've lost 30 pounds in 3 weeks?!  That's AMAZING.  How fast were you expecting to lose weight?  Have you ever averaged 10 pounds a week before for three weeks?  I certainly haven't!  Stick to the plan, you'll achieve greatness :)

Thank you all for your responses. I guess I won't worry about the 3 week stall and I have been following my pureed diet..Only 1 more week and I can start adding foods back!. Wishing much luck on your journies also!

Carlyle, I am still a little sore. After my surgery I had this awful burning pain. Dr said it was normal and that I may have flare ups now and then. But like he said "you just had a major surgery and it takes time". That pain probably went away after about 2 weeks. I hope you have talked to your surgeon about your pain. You didn't say how far out you are. I am sure it will pass soon, just keep doing what you are suppose to do. Good luck to you and keep us posted
