is applesauce ok for pureed diet?

Applesauce was on my pureed diet, but I didn't eat it.  It's basically pure sugar with no protein.  Not a good choice for us even if the consistency is acceptable.

I have to agree with Gwen. I went to the store yesterday and found that all the applesauces has sugar. Even the applesauce that said "no sugar" added. Yeah, it still has sugar.
