Reason for bad stomach ache

I found I have a continuous bad stomach ache for the last few days and though back and have been eating beef for every meal each of those days.  I am 6 weeks out and wondered if that may be the reason.  I have been cleared for everything from my doctor.  Has anyone had trouble with beef this far out from surgery that could cause this reaction?  Am going to lay off of it starting this morning and see what happens, but wondered if anyone had anything else that could cause a continuous stomach ache.

At 6 weeks my plan calls for reintroducing foods one at a time and slowly. I have heard it takes a little longer for some to adapt to beef and pork. It may be possible to try again later but you may want to try chicken or tuna.

I guess it depends on what you mean by continuous.  As in all day or 30-45 minutes after you eat.  If it is the first, then contact your surgeon.  If it is the second, then re-visit your foods.  Are you chewing thoroughly, eating slowly, etc.  Everyone is different.  I tolerated beef and pork more easily than chicken and that is still the case at 5 months.  Shrimp and fish were and continue to be the easiest.

Beef and certain pork products were tough for me at first.  I think it had to do with the higher fat content, I just couldn't handle it and they would make me a little nauseous.  I would back-track a bit and just go with some soft chicken and fish to see if that helps.   But don't worry, at 6 weeks out you're only about halfway healed and you'll find that you'll be able to add more foods the further out you get.
