My doctor told me they had a guy that wasn't losing any weight after surgery so they asked him what he was eating for his puréed and soft food...he was drinking cake batter!!  WTF?

Bwah ha ha ha... that cracked me up

Love the cake batter drinker - hilarious.

I don't bake very often (our oven is terrible!)  but if I do I have to watch myself with mixes, else there will be no cake to show.  A trick - well not really a trick just common sense but it eluded me - is to ensure that all your bowls and equipment that may have dough or batter on is quickly dunked into totally inedible soapy dish water and that anything disposable is really shoved into the rubbish bin.

There are those who develop issues post WLS and do tend to blend anything they can to get their fix, so not trying to minimise that in any way, but someone wondering why they lost and happily drinking cake batter and probably all the people that are reading your title and avoiding this post would also be just a tad amusing.  I admit to heading in here, to check how people would deal with the question :D  In person I am totally anti-confrontation but the interwebs... it's so easy...

I chew sf gum while I bake. It helps because the mint doesn't go so well with the batters

i have never heard of that, it's a great idea (unless you like mint chocolate and the like) I am not a fan, this would be a great tool for me) Thank you!
