Pre-Op Diet Woes
I've been on my pre-op diet for three weeks now. My surgery is scheduled for next Monday (eek!). I haven't had THAT much difficulty sticking to the diet itself. On the advice of my surgeon, I have added in a serving or two of lean protein that I can chew every day since I was getting light-headed on what I was consuming. I average 600-800 calories a day, and 65-100 grams of protein. I get in at least 64 oz of water every day, usually more.
The pre-op weight has been steadily coming off...until yesterday. Yesterday I went from weighing in at 331.8 to 334. I know that I did not gain three pounds in a day, This morning I weighed in at 322.2. My surgeon REALLY wants me to get my BMI under 52 before my surgery date. 332 lbs is right at a BMI of 52 for my height.
I'd love to get my scale to read a few pounds under that magic number so I have some room for scale differences.
Any tips or advice to maximize these next few days?
Lots. Of. Water. At least 100 ounces per day.
And if you can get any exercise in, even walking, it would help.
