Okay, so I knew it could happen but OMG!!!

my hair is long and fine, but I've always had a lot. I lost a great deal after both pregnancies so I just knew I would lose some after surgery, but still shocked!

Today in the shower was litteraly handfuls!

Any tips or advice? And someone please tell me it will come back (I know it probably will) but just need some reassurance.

Thanks guys!

p.s. Four month update this week! Stay tuned!

I wonder if Rogaine would slow the loss?  I have medium long Fine hair too, and this is my worry also.  I assume you are taking your B vitamins.  It might be a good time for a shoulder length Bob or a cut that will have less weight from the length, and more body!

I really don't know if there's anything that's going to stop the hair loss.  I'm taking my multi , B12 and my calcium daily, but I might throw the biotin back in there.

you might be right about the haircut idea, thanks.

I have some. I stopped taking it once I read that I didn't stop the hair loss. I think I'll start taking it again. Thanks.

I used to have very thick hair, lost a lot and it went fine and limp after my 1st pregnancy..

from months 2-7 post-op I lost ALOT of hair was very thin

have been taking biotin 2x a day since surgery...

my hair is now thicker than it's been in about 17 yrs it's amazing..

the hairloss will stop..your hair will come back, but I suggest you take biotin 2x a day

religiously..it really does help.

GrayC, excuse me for jumping in here but I have the same "hair" concerns. I am still in pre op and worry about hair loss too. Am I reading this correct? You are taking a total of 5000mg of biotin a day? Should I go ahead and start taking it now even though my surgery is not until Dec? Thanks!
