2 Weeks post-op
I had my follow-up with my surgeon's PA..everything is perfect. I'm down 18 pounds from surgery. I was cleared for more cardio and light weights. I was also cleared for soft foods...munching on a mozzarella stick as I type. A little nervous but ready to see how my sleeve handles it.
it's very early, but I am so pleased with how things are going. I was so nervous that my recovery would be difficult but everything has been perfect. My advice to anyone who is nervous, trust your surgeon & your care team. There's no reason you won't be the best case scenario for recovery.
Thanks as always to everyone who contributes to this board.
Glad to hear you're doing so well. Sometimes all you hear are the horror stories and cause people considering WLS to go into freak out mode. There are far less complications than people assume. Keep up the great work

Oh believe me...I was one of those who can easily read about complications or problems & then worry it would happen to me. I have a long way to go but have no reason to believe everything won't go just as expected....it goes perfectly for just about everyone so why not me?
Great news! I'm 9 days out and I'm feeling pretty good myself. I had my follow up appointment with my surgeon and he said everything look good. Just like you, I was so scared something was going to happen and I was going to be in the hospital for a long time dealing with complications. Thank God for watching over my surgeon, his team and I throughout this process.
