Weird cravings?

So I'm really wanting bbq sauce with something, but I need a "healthier" bbq sauce I usually would use sweet baby rays cause it's amazing but I don't think its an option. Still no sign of being hungry, but I'm on an eating schedule for the most part. It's weird having cravings for something that's not bread. I know someone mentioned pizza and I'm dying to try some portobello mushroom tops with sauce and cheese not actual pizza.

I would still have the sauce just have less of it. Measure it out and don't go over what calories you think is reasonable taking into consideration your overall dish.  You could mix it with something like a fresh tomato salsa to decrease the calories if you really need a lot of it?  You could water it down?  Or get something that does not have the calories/whatever you are worried about and mix some of the real stuff in there?

Here is my recipe for Tx Table sauce.

1/2 cup cider vinegar

1 cup beef broth

1 cup ketchup

2 Tsp Salt

2 Tsp chili powder

2 Tsp ground cumin.

Sweeten to taste.

Combine all ingredients thoroughly and chill.  The flavors get better as it sits in the fridge.

The recipe does call for sugar but I use very little if any.    I made a gallon this week and only used 2 tablespoons of raw sugar.  You could substitute artificial if you had to.

This makes a thin tangy sauce that I think works well with grilled or bbq'ed meats.  I even put it over frozen meatballs for a quick lunch.

For the beef broth, I used Better Than Bouillon this time and it tastes great.

I use regular (Sweet Baby Rays is one) but just waaaay less. No slathering, just enough for the taste. Some of the SF ones add a bunch of strange stuff I can't pronounce.

Portobello mushrooms with a little ricotta cheese, sauce and mozzarella are great. I grill them lightly first, top then broil.
