Thanks...I'll look into the pudding. I just ordered a tub of the Unjury Chicken Soup (I had a few samples) and will add that as a meal since it's 20g of protein and I love it! That with my shake will give me 50g of protein...then hopefully I can get what I need from whatever I can manage to eat. Thank you.

The soreness seems to totally normal to me, but I'd double check with your surgeon to be sure.

When I started solid foods, I could only eat an ounce or two.  I had to have two shakes plus my three 1-2 ounce meals.  Which was what my plan said I should be doing.

Don't judge things too harshly until you're fully healed, which doesn't really happen until 6-8 weeks.  Right now you're still healing from major surgery.  Give things time.

Thank you! Since I first posted the soreness has already improved so yeah...totally over analyzing. I'm just going to do the best I can!

I am exactly three months out and still supplement with protein a shake (although I honestly just like it so much as a breakfast, I think I will continue even when it's no longer needed). My capacity is still pretty small and I'm not supposed to eat more than three meals. It would be impossible to meet my protein goals right now without the shake. So, shake it is! Protein is especially important while you're healing.

I wish I could offer words of wisdom regarding buyer's remorse, but right now I'm right there with you (on occasion, anyway). So if it helps to know it, you're not alone.

Thanks for the support. I am doing better since I first posted...maybe just needed to vent a little. I really don't have any buyer's remorse...just a little frustrated. Big picture - I know this was a good decision and I'll be happy I did this as time goes on and I see my progress.
