VSG-Staple Leaks?

Has anyone experienced post operative Staple Leaks, after VSG? 

Did this happen to you? 

Karen,  I am still researching the procedure but have heard horror stories about staple leaks, and was curious if anyone has experienced this.  Thanks for your reply.

Yes I did.  I went in on a Tuesday with the expectation to go home on Wednesday.  I didn't get out until Friday due to low blood pressure and my blood work not recovering properly.  It clotted and everything was fine by Friday morning.  Surgery was 9/23/14 and I'm doing great.

I don't think this has anything to do with a leak.

Just for the sake of argument I'll assume you are not an MD.  The guy that told me it was a leak has one, proven by the stuff I drank and the imaging showing one.

I had a leak .... My surgery was Feb 26th/13. I have had 9 surgeries since then and have spent months in the hospital. It is rare but it can happen. Mine went 6 weeks until it was diagnosed ..... I was pretty sick. I had my VSG surgery, surgery for a washout and JP drain placement, surgery for a J-tube, more surgery for the J-tube revision, surgery when the JP drain got infected .... Removed and a penrose drain put in, gallbladder surgery and 2 holes in my bowel repaired, surgery for an abccess on my spleen and recently I had 3 hernias repaired with mesh.
