Fellow VSGers,

How much weight did you lose the first month after surgery? And the second month after surgery?

I lost 14.6 pounds in my first month post-op and 13.2 in the second.  Slower than some, faster than some.  Make sure you don't try to compare yourself to other people in this process, since we all lose at different rates.  And I know I'll reach my goal regardless of how fast or slow the weight comes off.  I've lost 120 pounds already this year!

I hate and love this question! I don't want to compare myself to anyone, but I also like knowing how much others lost! :) Like Gwen said, I've lost more than some and less than others. I'm happy with my progress and more importantly I feel great and my weight is going down. I lost 11 pre-op and 19 post op (I was weighed about 4 days before my one month). I don't own a scale and I only weigh myself at appointments. I have my six week check up Thursday (really about 5 1/2 weeks) and I'll be weighed again then.

I like to see what other people are doing too. :)  My surgery was 7/29/14.  I started at 260.  I love 27 lbs the first month, 15 lbs the second month, 16 lbs the third month and 14 lbs the fourth month.  I've gone from size 22, XXXL shirts to size 12 pants and a regular XL (not womens).  Good luck to you!!

Thank you for all the answers!  I am just curious to get a baseline. I understand I might lose faster or slower.
