Since my scale is broken, obviously it's NSVs to the rescue!

So frustrated with my two week stall/slow weight loss. Only 3.2 pounds in two weeks. And only .4 of that in the past week. My weight loss has been so bad in the past week, my weight loss tracking app has bumped my average weekly weight loss down so much that my estimated date to reach my goal weight moved two months out from May to July!

To ease my frustration, I measured earlier this week, and discovered I'd lost another inch in my hips and another 2 inches in my waist though. That's a total of 3 inches lost in my hips and bust and 5 inches in my waist! And another NSV this morning that I got back into a pair of size 16 jeans I hadn't been able to wear for months! Comfortably buttoned and zipped them up, without squeezing myself into them lying on my back, or wearing a shirt that covered the unsightly bulge hanging over the top of the jeans.

Dont worry, you will have one of those "whoosh" weigh-ins where you will drop 3-5 lbs.   Focus on the size drops!

Stalls are your body's way of telling you not to get too cocky.

Yay!!! :)  I'm going through a stall right now, too.  But I put on a pair of 16Ws this morning for the first time in YEARS.  And by golly, they FIT!  I danced around my bedroom in them before I went to work.  I am also measuring, and have found my waist!  I honestly didn't realize I had one. :)

I hear you! I went through 2 weeks without losing a pound, so frustrating.  However I am back to losing 3-5 pounds a week, so it will not last forever.  The important thing to remember is that even if the scale isn't moving, your body is still changing (congrats on the inches that are melting away).  Congrats on the jeans...nothing better than shopping in your closet for old clothes that have become new again! YAY YOU!

Only 3.2 pounds in two weeks?  That seems solid to me, especially for a long-term weight loss plan!  Some weeks I'm lucky if I lose .1.  Sometimes your body just needs time to freak out and readjust.

You're only six weeks out from surgery if my math is correct.  Be prepared for the weight loss to slow down over time.  Initially it's a head rush when you're dropping so many pounds per week, but it's not sustainable.  Measuring inches is a great way to see progress without fixating on the numbers on a scale.

As I was told (and tell everyone who will listen), it's a marathon, not a sprint.  Don't take the estimated weight loss app too seriously.  It's not accurate for people who've had WLS.

You're doing great.  Relax

I threw my scale in the trash because it was upsetting me so much!!!  It just never changes.  Then I remeasured myself and have actually lost 18 inches overall.  I don't know why that darn scale is ******g me off so much!  Anyway, my suggestion is to not weigh yourself.  Only go with your measurements.
