Just Fat

According to the BMI calculator I'm almost just overweight!

I'm at 30.8 right (obese) now and overweight is 29.9. I started with a BMI of 43.5 (extremely obese). Whoever thought just being fat would sound so good!

Bad thing is, my goal is 215 and at 215 the calculator says I'll still be high side of overweight. But I've been that small once in my life (gained the weight back) and I don't want to be less than that. I've got a large frame and then some.

I just thought being excited about being overweight was funny.

Are you kidding!?!?! Getting out of the obese range was a banner day at my house! I think it's worthy of much excitement and celebration!

You might be surprised at the weight where your body settles in.  I thought it impossible to get below 145-150 lbs but here I am in the 130's.  My husband couldn't remember ever being less than 195 lbs. as an adult or high school kid...but here he is sitting at 182 lbs.  It's unreal!

Congrats on all your progress

Congrats. You're doing it right. I know what you mean. Did a little happy dance in the elevator after I left the doctors office and learned I was no longer morbidly obese.

Great job! But don't lock yourself into a goal. My surgeon's goal for me was 250. I was hoping for 225, since that was the last weight I felt good about what shape I was in. I'm 6'3" and also have a "big frame." Well, I sailed right past 225 and settled at 185, right in the middle of the healthy BMI range. I never would have bet a plugged nickel I could weigh so little.
