Hi everyone! Just wanted to check in, say hello, and update you all. It's been 8 weeks since my lower body lift and I have to say I am absolutely thrilled.

The first two weeks were pretty horrible, but my surgeon did an exceptional job of talking up the pain so I was pleasantly surprised that I was more comfortable than I initially expected. I slept in a recliner for 2 full weeks, as it was uncomfortable to lay flat with the incision on my back. At 10 days, all four of my drains had been removed - they were the largest source of my discomfort as they are stitched in to a very sensitive area. I went back for my 4 week check, and had to have some fluid aspirated. It was pretty painless, as I am still numb around the incision line - the feeling should return slowly over the course of the year.

Aside from the excess fluid needing to be drained, healing has been pretty uneventful. I get to go back to the gym this week with no restrictions in place. I'm still swollen, which will continue to improve over the next few weeks but again, I'm incredibly pleased with my results thus far and highly recommend Dr. Z and his team to anyone in the NY/NJ area.

I should also note, my incision is very low, and is covered by underwear, and bathing suits.

Goodluck and happy losing!
