And, regarding high school, that was what, over 20 years ago?  You're a different person now. Maybe new you will enjoy different things. I hated yoga as a kid and can't get enough of it now.  Try to go into running with an open mind instead of hatred as a forgone cuonclusion. Otherwise - find something different that you might have a chance of enjoying!  Life's too short to punish yourself with exercise when there are other options out there.
