Thank you so much! I really believe that the only thing that has helped me weather everything going on with my dad is all the work I did to change my lifestyle post-sleeve. So the eating, exercise, therapy.. all of it. If this had happened two years ago I'd be totally screwed :P

I just had my 1 year appointment last week (also late, because March was super busy), and my surgeon started off by saying that I can do better and he'd like me to be at 140. As I've said before, he's kind of a harda**. It's kind of funny that we started at the same weight, had surgery the same date, and are at the same place right now..but our surgeons are saying two different things! At the end he did make a comment that a lot of his patients "would give anything to get the results" I've gotten "(except effort)". I felt like that was his way of saying I've done a good job, but it's hard to say! I do have to say the weight is coming off pretty slowly at this point, even after increasing my exercise. He also told me I need to consume more calories, and that that's probably why.
I'm really glad that my surgeon is as positive as he is. I respond much better to positive reinforcement than to being made to feel like I'm failing!
