One Year Followup

Today I had my one year follow up with my surgeon. (A month late, since we all know that my March was a wash.) I was really worried about the appointment since I've been feeling a bit disappointed in myself due to aforementioned March. My surgeon, however, was SUPER thrilled with me. I'm pretty much at his goal for me right now, which is crazy to think about since I feel like I'm nowhere close to my goal for myself. He also told me that my results, even now, are beyond average predicted results - so that made me feel like a rockstar.

So yay! Let's see if I can reach my final pre-plastics goal before I see him again in March 2016.  :D

(And, omg, I joined another forum for sleevers the other day and let me say how much I really appreciate you all.)

Edit -- Oh!  My blood pressure was 109/69!!  That's the lowest I've EVER seen it.  EVER.

In one of the books I read about VSG (can't remember which one), the author/surgeon wrote that women, more than men, tend to set high weight-loss goals for themselves when they decide to get the surgery. Maybe that's why your surgeon was so delighted -- you achieved his goal, which probably had more to do with your health than with your appearance. Now that you're at a healthy weight, a wonderful accomplishment BTW, you can concentrate on your goals. Keep working toward them and keep us posted.
