Lord, I hope you were already under anesthesia when they put in the NG tube. One of the absolute worst experiences of my life was having one put in while I was wide awake. I will never forget it...holy moses, the pain!!! And yes, they suck while they're in (pun intended lol). I can truly empathize!

Omg I can't even imagine- you poor thing! Nope woke up with this bad boy. It made me gag till they hit zofran in me.Hopefully out later today. Have been walking- gas not as bad this time thank God

Not larger, just larger than a normal sleeve.

He used the part of my stomach that had dilated to reconstruct the sleeve rather than just cut it off. My body tried to find its own way to compensate for the partial obstruction that had formed.

Some surgeons will use a larger bougie than others. This is especially true with older patients. The larger bougie will make a larger sleeve.
