Are you just jusing protein and liquid?  If so, what about a good shaker bottle.  I found one that has this a "mixer piece" and it works well.

If you have a GNC or Vitamin Shoppe, take a took to see what they have.

I have a full size blender, a Ninja, a Magic Bullet and this is the one I use every day.  In fact, it is time for a new one because the cup is cracked.

I'm in love with my Magic Bullet.  It crushes ice and its not big at all.

I have the hamilton beach one posted above and it does a fairly good job with frozen strawberries, ice, etc.  If you go with this one, just don't put the powder in first as it gets stuck in the much below the blades

I have two of the Hamilton Beach blenders and found they do okay with frozen strawberries at first, but then they stop being able to do them after a while.  I assume the blades get duller as you use it.  I have a big blender at home that I use to crush ice and I take it to work in a small 6-pack cooler and make protein coffee with the small HB blender and poor it over the crushed ice.  That works well for me.
