Unfortunately, I had to delete this post due to privacy concerns.

Got a lap band in 2008. Tried hard, but didn't lose much weight & developed swallowing problems. Fought my insurance company for almost a year & finally had a band to DS revision on 5/11/12. Have now lost 125 pounds. Yay!

Many, many thanks for not only posting this, but for also supplying the link. I have a friend who has met the requirements for WLS, but our BCBS of TN does not cover the sleeve. I've printed this off to help her with her appeal. If she gets it, I 'll tell her has to name her next cat after you. She collects them (but no more than she can afford to take care of)
