What was your ideal weight or size when you were younger?

As being an obese teenager, I always dream of being skinny , because I never liked how big I am. I tried dieting, but it never works for me and I try not to make an excuse for it. I always dream of being a size small in shirts, 32 or less in jeans, and weigh like 120lbs, which would put me at the edge of being underweight, which I would be kind of concerned of. I know that even with WLS, this wouldn't be a big possibility of occuring, but it is a dream and when you are young like me, you always dream about things many people consider impossible.

115. I was that until 8th grade. I usually floated around 125-135, but always wanted to get back to 115 or 110. I'll be happy to get down to where I can shop in the normal people's clothing section.

I always wanted to say I weighed 135. I have no clue why. At 5'8", that would be really too skinny on me.

Returning to the "ideal wt" for a 17-18 year old person is somewhat unrealistic for overweight people.  I was 165 at 18-19 years of age, and then got up to 365 at age 54-55.  Two years after my RNY, I got down to 185, but felt very weak.  Body maturity, child birth, etc. will cause most people to weigh more than their teenage years.  Wt loss surgery is designed to help you lose around 80% of excess body wt, not 100%.  Even at 100% excess body wt, you'll likely weigh more than your teenage years.  Wt loss surgery is just a "tool" to help with better health and wt loss, and it does require behavior modification to be successful. The surgery alone will not offer long term wt loss. DAVE

In high school  5'4" and about 135 lbs.  Rode horses ALOT so was very muscular.

Now 5'4" and 145 is fine by me.  Not being 240 anymore is really nice.
