Chest/Lung Discomfort

I am almost four years post opt & have recently started having discomfort/pain in my lungs/chest.  I have had blood work, xrays, lung function test, ultrasound & so forth done & nothing is coming up abnormal.  I constantly have this discomfort/pain & it gets worse whenever I do cardio exercise.  I used to be able to jog for 10 minutes straight & now I can't make it to 3.  Also, I seem to sweating way more during cardio than normal.
I am just putting this out there just to see if anyone else has ran into anything like this & maybe has advice.  I am getting very frustrated & the docs can't seem to figure it out.
I have been diagnosed with bronchitis, anxiety attacks, depression & so forth & it has been none of this.
I am desperate  & just want to feel better & normal again.

All chest xrays have come back normal so pleurisy has been ruled out.  One doc told me it was anxiety attacks & gave me ativan & told me to wait it out.  I took 3 ativan in one hour & it did nothing to help & nothing in general :(

What surgery did you have? It could be diaphragmatic problems. I had major chest pain with the lapband due to it damaging my diaphragm (and the Vagus nerves that travel through.)

It also caused a lot of breathing problems (since the diaphragm controls that, as well.) Might be something to bring up to your doc.

I heard the "anxiety" thing, as well as orthopedic... and it was neither of those things. And no pain relievers helped with this pain at all. Nothing.

I had RNY Bypass four years ago now.  It seems strange to me that I would be having issues from it like this now.
They have ordered a CT Scan of my chest/lungs & if that comes up empty I think I am going to request a tube down my throat to check things out.
I know my body & something is wrong & it is so frustrating when they just keep giving me meds & sending me home thinking I am crazy :(

I wonder if a hernia would cause the symptoms you're experiencing?  I hope you get answers so you can feel better. I understand how frustrating it is! I think the worst part is having people think you're crazy! You know how you feel... and just because the cause of the discomfort hasn't been determined doesn't mean it's not real.

I wish you the very best in getting some answers.
