How long should it take me to drink a 16.9 ounce bottle of water?

I have a hard time getting plain water in, but dump a packet of crystal light in it and Its gone in 30 minutes or less.  I am sipping, but I guess I am sipping non-stop.  Is this okay, I don't want to damage anything.  I just started my puree/soft foods phase and I could barely eat 2 ounces of tuna, but I could eat a 5 ounce cup of greek yogurt.  I guess I am kinda getting a little worried that I am messing up.  Someone please let me know if I am doing this wrong.

Honey, you're doing fabulously!!!  Add whatever it takes to the water to keep you sipping.

You are doing fine. You will be able to eat more of a soft food like cottage cheese or yogurt than of a dense protein such as tuna. You are totally normal and doing great!

I can drink a bottle of water in about 5 minutes. At your stage I got it in in about 20 min. so you are doing fine. I also never sipped. My doctor said we should be able to drink normally pretty soon after surgery and I was able to.

the reason you are getting more yogurt than tuna is because yogurt is a slider food it goes right through the pouch whereas the tuna is thicker and stays in there a bit longer.

You are doing fine with the water. However you need to check your surgeons guidelines regarding how much you should be consuming at one time. 5 ounces of Greek yogurt may be a little much at this point. Just check and see what your plan calls for.

BTW, I have to use Crystal Springs or Wyler's pink lemonade or  lemonade for the water to be palatable. I don't like any of the other flavors.

I haven't had any trouble drinking either... I can put one bottle away in about 15 minutes.  I have never been a really fast drinker, so I think that is pretty good.

You're not messing up - you're doing fabulous.  So much better than I did after my WLS.  I am impressed.  Keep up the good work!
