I have an asymptomatic marginal ulcer.  I am taking carafate and ppis to treat it.  I am just wondering about any additional natural treatments I could add.  Someone told me probiotics are helpful, does anyone have any info?

I was also diagnosed with the same ulcer. I was prescibed carafate liquid 2 teaspoons 4x day. I dont know of any natural treatments but my question is do you have a symptoms of the ulcer??

I am sorry I didn't reply earlier, i still can't figure out how to get OH to alert me to replies to my posts...  I don't have any symptoms.  i used the carafate for 5 weeks and am still taking ppi's.  I really wanted them to do another scope to see if the ulcer was gone but they won't do it.  They said that if I have no symptoms there is no reason.  According the them the ulcer would progressively get worse and I was become symptomatic over time.  So I am just crossing my fingers that it has healed.  i hate that feeling.  I would much rather just know.

I have recently read some information regarding MANUKA HONEY from New Zealand. You can buy this product from several places online but I would suggest doing some research on it first and also read the reviews on amazon.com to help decide which might be your best option to purchase if you decide to. I have included some links to a few articles. Good Luck! Hope you feel better!
