Don't drink water!!!!!!! Lol
And don't lay flat.

Wait it out for a while. Your body should either throw it up or eventually allow it to pass. It hurts really bad while its stuck.

If it stays stuck, call your doctor. Nothing will really help it along in my experience.

Thanks. I was afraid to drink water - wasn't sure if that would just back up more. Good to know not to do that. I finally managed to throw up and felt instantly better. Thanks!

When I get something like this I can either sit through it miserably and hope that I throw up or it passes, or what I do is actually go get tha****er and drink it. It does increase the pain a little, but makes me throw up quicker and ultimately the pain all goes away faster. I usually give it about 10-15 minutes to clear on its own because I don't like to throw up, but after that I"m not liking the pain more than I don't like to throw up.

I have had that happen twice when eating pork chops.  Both times were after a year out and I waited at least an hour, which was torture and it wouldn't pass, so I made myself throw up.  Felt better within minutes.

thanks Kerry. After 2 hours I finally managed to throw up and felt instantly better. That was my first time and kind of freaked me out. Hope not to repeat that. :-)
