Biotin?

I have read in several posts that people have been taking Biotin to help avoid hair loss after surgery. Can anyone tell me what the average dosage would be?

I took whatever was at Vitamin World.  Did not help one bit with hair loss, but I grew a lot of facial hair and had to shave my legs once and sometimes twice a day. 

OMG are you serious?

I am very serious.  I grew a peach fuzz beard and mustache.  It started at my eyebrows and went down to my chin.  I had full facial waxings to get rid of it several times when I was going out and wanted to look good.  The waxing was expensive and it hurt and turned my face red for hours. 

The facial hair went away after I quit the biotin.  I was taking the supplement and a chewable bariatric vitamin that contained biotin.  Watch labels and don't take biotin. 

Now I use Wen shampoo and really love it.
