Happy Anniversary to Me

I had my RNY anniversary on the 27th and didn't even remember. I am now 9 years out. And, I am at goal. A doctor told me the other day that I am one of the lucky ones. She said most don't keep it off or have so many complications that they don't think it was worth it. But, for me, I am thankful everyday for it. I still have some complications, but none like I had when I was at my top weight. I have been scanning old pictures and the ones from before the surgery are sick. I don't look good and you can see how unhappy I am to be in front of the camera. I am so much happier now.

Thanks for sharing with us today. Congrats on nine years of your new lifestyle! I am about 1 year out and am hopIng to still be rocking my new life in 8 more years. Now I know there is hope!
