sparkpeople.com

also has a nice website. You can track food, fitness. It has a lot of weight loss info; recipes, health information etc.

It is not geared toward wls, but there are a lot of wls patients on the site.

Hi I'm Diane and I use the app on my phone called LOSE IT.  I think it's great.  And it's free.

The reason I love MFP is that I can take a picture of the UPC with my phone or iPad and it will capture even a pretty new food.

Every day is better than the day before...and it was a pretty great day!

My surgery date was 1/7/14 and I posted the same question. The overwhelming response was myfitnesspal. I have the android app on my phone, the apple app on my ipad and use the .com on my computer.....I love that they all sync and that I can scan barcodes rather than having to add all nutrition information.

As others have said, My Fitness Pal is a great site.  The option to scan barcodes saves the effort of entering all the nutritional information yourself.  You can also change the preprogrammed goals they have listed for protein, carbs and fat.  I use this app constantly to monitor my protein intake throughout the day.

There are also options to enter water consumed and exercise.  It will generate graphs to visually monitor your progress.

Whichever you select, be dedicated to tracking what you put in your mouth.  It's part of the lifestyle change we need to make.
