surgery scheduled
I have been reading posts for a while and decided to share that my surgery has been scheduled. I will be sleeved on Mar 20. I am excited and nervous at the same time. I am so ready to get myself healthy so I can then help my family. I haven't been the best role model but it is time for a new chapter to start. Loving life!
Congrats! I am also rather new here and my surgery is scheduled for May 5. I am so ready to start this new chapter as well.
Good for you!
WLS can be such a life changing experience, but just know it will require a lot of change from you with what you do around diet and exercise daily forever. When I hit maintenance it became as hard for me as it was pre-op.
I don't say that as a downer but just a reality. I wish surgery fixed all the bad habits, but it sure doesn't. So be prepared for a lot of work unlearning old habits and learning new ones.
But congratulations! It works if you work it!

Woo! I'm also in March. Super exciting!
