What happens if you chug water 1 week post op

I'm a water drinker and didn't even think about what I was doing when I accidentally chugged some (I'm a week out). It didn't bother me at all thankfully. What's supposed to happen if you chug water? 

The only things that may happen if you drink too much too quickly are that you may experience pain and/or you may have the water back up into your esophagus (which feels a bit weird and can be a little scary, and might make you throw some it it back up).

You cannot damage your pouch or sleeve by drinking too much.

Many can drink normally right out of surgery. Others may take several weeks. Count yourself fortunate you can drink without discomfort.

Patients are advised to sip, I'm guessing, to cater to those with the most difficulty. I would't go guzzling a gallon of water, but it sounds like you are doing great.
