Can pureed food be food changed to liquid in a vitamix? Or is it just soft food? I have a vitamix and was hoping I could just change my food into liquid. Educate me more on pureed food please. Thanks!!

Other people may be told different things but for me puréed meant smooth and the consistency of very thick soup, not liquid but not far from it! Soft foods are exactly that - foods which are not pureed but are soft enough to be cut with a fork.

Highest 290, Banded - 248   Lowest 139 (too thin!). Comfort zone 155-165.

Happily banded since May 2006.  Regain of 28lbs 2013-14.  ALL GONE!

But some has returned! Up to 175, argh! Off we go again,

By the way, it is always worth checking the board before posting, this was asked an hour ago so people may reply to that rather than to you,

This is a pretty different question, imo.  The OP is asking if pureed foods can be turned into liquids with a blender.

Too technical for me! As far as I see it, pureed food is pureed food however you purée it! I have clearly missed out on nuances here,

Gwen, the OP thought I was being nasty. Hope you didn't! I meant it literally! I didn't pick up the nuances and so misunderstood! That wasn't sarcasm! It was saying I misunderstood!!!

I don't think you were being nasty - just that you missed what the OP was asking.  No harm, no foul. :)

I would only feel comfortable doing this if I added extra liquid, perhaps broth, and then strained it.

Thank you , GwenMo......that helped! Goodness, I'm afraid to ask questions on here now. I did see the post previously concerning puree food posted but I did not want to be rude and ask a "different" question under that person's post. GwenMo, you clarified my question, thank you very much!!

Don't be afraid to post here.  Just realize that not all the answers you receive might be useful!  In general, people really are trying to be helpful but sometimes, in text, things can get complicated.  It's nothing to worry about :)

And you're welcome!
