Just for the heck of it: how long have you been on OH?

Just a rough estimate. And if you've had WLS, how long ago did you have it? I'm just curious how many of us old-timers are still hanging around.

I think I first came on here in July of 2003 and had my surgery in December of 2003. My 11th anniversary in a couple of weeks.

In 3 days I will be a registered member for a month.. lol, but I was here lurking and checking out the board about a month before that. My packet from my Dr's office provided links to helpful sites and products .. this site was included in there. I have not had surgery yet, I have a follow up on 12/11 to check my blood work.. hopefully my #'s are better and I'll get a date. I'll be getting sleeved, it's the best option for me for a few different reasons.

I recently joined Obesity Help, and it's great to read from and see a picture of an old timer.  I've always thought to myself, how life can develop in new ways if I were to loose the weight through WLS.  And from reading from you and in seeing your pic it has been beneficial.  My first appointment in the cycle of appointments is March 16th, in approximately 3-4 months time.  I am excited although need to stay on track and on target for the next while leading upto decision making time, staying healthy, and exercising is important too me now as I prepare myself for a surgical operation.  I keep hearing from my other, who is showing full on support by attending orientation and a support group in my city that I need to take my weight loss seriously.  That I'm not taking it seriously enough.  He said tonight when I had a bite into the leftovers, "do you think you can continue eating like you're eating?"  I sheepishly replied "no".  I need to continue on my diet using myfitnesspal and my fitbit.  This is my motivation for the night and into another week tomorrow.   Got to get back to work!

I've been around (except for a little (ahem) break) for about 11 years or so ...  My previous incarnation (2003-2008 was Britkim)

There's quite a few vets that hang out on here, but we don't reply to all posts  or our heads would explode, wouldn't they, Bette?

The break sounds good, it sounds like you had learned something there.  When you say vets, are you talking about a veterinarian?  Cause that's cool.  What a living that would be.

Not me though. I'm in a different field all together, I answer telephones and work reception .  It's simple but I like it for now.

no,a "vet" is a veteran of the site, one who has been  around for a while and may or may not have reached goal.

Oh a veteran.  I've got it.  It's nice to see people reunite here as veterans.  You are doing your program a justice by being here.  That and you have no choice.   Right?  Anyway, still morning.  I will post more motivation when I'm feeling driven and inspired.
