Hello! I am  10 months out and only lost 60-65 pounds depending on the day of the week. I have been stuck or plateaued for almost 3 months. I keep my calories around 1000 try to get my protein in at 90-100 grams. Carbs below 75. I drink my water and exercise when I can. I haven't gainedandvlostvavfew inches but just not budging. It is very ffrustrating.  Any suggestions or words of wisdom or even harsh reality. Thanks in advance!

Hi

We feel your pain. Try changing up your exercise, food and contact your surgeon's office and see if there is a nutritionist you can talk to.  If you have access to a support group meeting other members may have some suggestions.

After losing steady for months I stopped and was stalled for 9 weeks.  I added more protein, water and started swimming instead of weights and cardio.  I had the nutritionist in my surgeon's office review my eating plan and it got a thumbs up.

Sometimes the body just has to exhale and take a breather from the drastic change.  Well, that is the rainbow version, sometimes our bodies like to torture us.

If you are doing all the right things the scale will start moving again.  Depend more on how great you feel with 65 pounds off your back, knees and heart. Not to mention how great you look.  Stay away from the scales for a while.

Keep us posted on how you are doing

Most people I know who are in weight loss mode try to keep their calories between 600-800 and their carbs lower than 40.  So you might need to tweak your diet some.

How much liquid do you consume?

Why can't you exercise?

Thank you for your input.  @ gwen... when I went to dr. For 6 mo check up the nutritionist put me on 100-120 grams of protien, 35 g carb 20 gram fat and 1000 cal or less, she also asked that I not drink more than 35 grams protien. .as in my shakes. Not sure but I spoke with other patients that my dr sleeved and yhey put them on same fort. I called and she changed it for me. So we are going to try the new suggestions and go from there.

I also meant carbs below 45 not 75. Lowered calories carbs and add more exercise. I also hace pcos and am dealing with hormonal issues. ..we are working on that also. I will update in a few weeks after using revised diet plan and exercise! !
