HOW LONG IS THE HOSPITAL STAY FOR VSG?

I've been approved for the sleeve.  My insurance company initially approved me for 1 day.  How long did everyone stay in the hospital after their sleeve?

Thanks!

I was in for two nights after surgery...basically 48 hours.  If you get yourself up walking around and drinking water, you should be fine.

I checked in for surgery at 8am, and left the hospital at 3pm the next day.

Surgery at 11 am, checked out the next day around noon.  But it depends on your doctor.  Mine does a leak test while in surgery.  Some do a separate leak test the next day, which may delay your departure.  Insurance generally only approves for a day, but the surgeon can always get more time if there's a reason/complication.

I had surgery on a Friday & was out by Sunday, but at that time I was having a problem getting water down so I had to stay the extra night. I needed it anyway, I was really tired on Saturday but I felt so much better by Sunday.

2 nights. I was approved for 1 but my surgeons office got it approved for 2 because that's their standard. I had the leak test done the morning after the surgery and to be honest I was pretty bored until I got released. I just wandered the halls. I wasn't sore at all, except my shoulders.
