Hormone release after WLS and menopause?

Hello,

This question is for the ladies who had WLS after going through menopause.  Did you have the hormone surge I keep reading about after your surgery?  If so, how long did it last and how bad was it?  I had a stem cell transplant in 2003 and that put me into early menopause at age 35.  I've had my hormone level checked with a blood work-up a few years ago and it showed a menopausal state.  I used to have the worst PMS and I really am hoping not to enter that realm of craziness again. I'll be 48 when I have surgery.

I'm a evo-lacto vegetarian so I still get a dose of hormones through dairy and eggs.  I don't buy organic.

I had complete hysterectomy at 42 and weight loss surgery at 59.  There was no estrogen release.  That was long gone.

I had stopped having periods for at least a year when I had my WLS at age 51.  I did experience some moodiness/crabbiness, etc.  But I didn't experience hot flashes, night sweats or anything else like that.

I was in the throws of full blown menopause when I had my WLS and yes I almost lost my mind for a few months because of the rapid weight loss and the estrogen. It only lasted a couple of months then subsided.
