FINALLY INVISIBLE

As an obese person, my goal was to be invisible. I didn't take photos. I didn't look at me in the photos I was forced to take. I didn't look in mirrors or while passing a window.

Now that I have lost some weight...down 155 pounds, I am finally invisible. I look like other people. No accommodations need to be made... no table instead of a booth..no seatbelt extender...no chair without arms...no comments from strangers or children no longer the biggest person in the room.

Funny... I look in the mirror now and take a picture or two.

Congratulations but are you sure the person in the mirror is you? I'm asking myself that question too :) It's just amazing.

I sooo get this. Especially walking down the aisle of airplane. What is weirder than not being the biggest person in the room? Being the smallest person in the room.

That's funny you should say that. I have the opposite feeling. I am no longer invisible. When I was MO, I really felt that people didn't see me, didn't acknowledge me, and didn't make eye contact. They do now, and for the first time in years, I don't feel invisible.

I was thinking the same thing. I finally feel like people see me instead of some fat girl who is not worth their notice.

The best thing about being a normal size is not standing out.

At least not standing out because of the weight.  We will stand out because of the super people we are and the fantastic things we do.
