About to consult with the surgeon
Hello friends:
It's very nice to be here. I'm a 38 year old woman living in the Boston, MA area. I'm 5 foot 11 inches and currently weigh 274 lbs, giving me a BMI of 38. My highest weight was 301 lbs; I took off about 30 pounds through diet and exercise but I"m now considering WLS because I just can't get any lower.
Interestingly enough, I'm a nurse (RN) working at a health insurance company that does a lot of bariatric surgical reviews! :) So I know all about this from the clinician/insurance side and now I'll get to see it from the patient side.
In my spare time, I enjoy writing, reading, travel, geeky movies (can't wait for Star Wars!), and the TV show BBC Sherlock.
