Im not sure if im doing this liquid  diet correctly. I know it wasthe 1st day, but i threw up the majority of my lquids i had. Im not sure if I had too much too quickly, but i feel horrible.

My day's menu consisted of 3 premier protein shakes,5 sugar free jellos, and to bowls of broth. (1 shake and two bowls of broth happened from 4:30-8:30)

Any ideas of why i feel like crap?

slightly, but not enough to cause this reaction. I tend to just get bloated or gassy

i was the same lactose as you...bloated and gassy. But when i did the whey i got violently ill. Sound familiar? I started using and still use a soy protein powder. I suggest you run, don't walk to the nearest store and get a soy based powder. i use jarrow iso-rich soy powder that i order from Amazon.com.

Good luck. I say its the Whey protein powder.

There are also egg protein powders you might want to try.

A lot of people end up lactose intolerant after surgery. They don't seem to know why, but it seems to be a side effect, so keep an eye on that as well.

Hi,

When I started my liquid phase, my wife measured things into 2oz. portion cups. The foam from any protein drink makes it really challenging for me. And I reacted to the sodium in the broth.

Let the diet crisis management begin. I think your approach is very measured and thought out. But isolating the culprit is paramount, so that you don't get sidetracked.

You're beginning the ride of your life, and you're at the right place to do that. You'll find a wealth of knowledge here.

My body began through a process of healing that is still underway, as well as adjusting to basically being given whatever it wanted for so long, that now is being given 700-800 calories a day. It is a great tool though. Glad you're here friend. Good luck.

I started mine today as well.

I've been mixing my protein shake with decaf coffee  (my paperwork says it is allowed)

I'm lactose intolerant- it may be the milk that is in the shakes, Are you using pre mixed or adding milk.

yeah, that might be it - if it says milk in ingredients.

I'm using premier protein and haven't had issues.
