10 Year Surgiversary!!!

Haven't been around this board for ages, but I felt this was the perfect day to come back.  It hit me yesterday when I realized it was Leap Day, that tomorrow (today) would be March 1st.  For me, March 1st marks my 10 year Surgiversary.  I still remember as if it were yesterday, the day I walked into Barix Clinic in Langhorne, PA to have Gastric Bypass performed by Dr. Neil Marymor.  To say it has changed my life would be an obvious understatement.  I admit that, at 10 years out, I don't do everything I'm supposed to....partly because I'm stubborn, and partly because I still have the eyes of a 400 pound man, although I have a 200 pound body.  One thing I know for certain, especially considering I had a heart attack a couple years prior to surgery, is that I wouldn't be alive today if it weren't for this surgery.

"No matter how hard life may get, no matter how many curveballs you are thrown, keep in mind, if you want to succeed - QUITTING IS NOT AN OPTION"!!!

Congratulations!  10 years is amazing!

Dr Ponce de Leon Mexico     VSG 4 Jun 12. I lost 57 lbs on my own before having a VSG. This is by far the best thing I have ever done for myself.
