I am 4 weeks post op (VSG). I get dizzy a lot. I'm trying to drink more and that helps a little.  Any advice?

Dizziness and lightheaded can be an indication of mild to moderate dehydration.

You need to sip all throughout the day, so you can be sure to get enough liquids in.  Dehydration can happen quiet easily and can lead to a need to be admitted for IV fluids depending on severity.

Drink one drop at a time if you have to. If you end up in the hospital, it will go in one drop at a time through an IV. Drinking is easier.

64oz daily is not a goal to work up to, it's a minimum requirement and your body is calling you out on not drinking enough.  Also try adding a little salt to your food to raise your BP

I was getting dizzy spells but mine turned out to be an inner ear disturbance.  I go to an ENT for my ears and allergies now.

Just thought I would thrown something out there not connected to WLS...LOL!!!!

If you happen to be on blood pressure medication it would be a good idea to have your BP checked. I had a dizziness problem when I needed to stop my meds. Hopefully you just need to work on your fluid intake. I know it's hard!
