Im considering buying one, not sure what I would use it for... and i dont want to take up space for something I wont :(

The yogurt could be interesting... we really like yogurt now (Im preop), so that could possibly save some $$. Maybe, I have no idea! lol

I guess the fact i could fully cook a meal in a few minutes is pretty great, too

The one that does yogurt - is 7 in 1.

I make a lot of dishes - then portion and put away for later. .. I do have an extra large freezer.. but since I work more than 40 hours - it si so much easier to just reheat food - knowing that i have it ready.

meat stew- any meat. I even make spaghetti sauce - and use that with zoodles - my So gets real noodles.

I made some this weekend: brown the meat (bison and beef), break it apart (no big chunks), pour NSA WF spaghetti sauce + some salsa. Close the lid and let it cook for 40 min. I typically skim the extra fat and liquid from the top.  Put taht in small jars and freeze or refrigerate.  I can make small or large portion.

best - itis fast and I can juts put it and walk awy doing what I need to do. no burning.. or watching the pot simmer.

I cook chicken soups  - lots of chicken - + some veggies. For my meal - I strained the "soup" and have the broth separate from the meat and veggies.

Pot roast.

Pork chops in mushroom sauce..

What I like is that I can put in even frozen foods and have a meal in less than 1 hour.  Very moist and tender.

Probably first year post op I would not use it much - but when eating "normal foods"  it is a time saver.

It is great tool when pouch is pissed off and i need some really tender stuff..

Can someone explain to me how this differs from a crockpot?  I use my crockpot all of the time...would that mean I would like this?

yes.  This can be used as a slow cooker.   really.

But - some dishes that takes 4-8 hrs in the slow cooker - I can now make in 30-60 min... And with a fussy pouch - that means - I can make food the pouch wants as it wants it...
