Today is my first day back to work since surgery last Monday. I will work a full day. I feel completely fine. My activities at home have been normal since leaving the hospital and I haven't needed any pain meds what so ever. I just make sure I'm not outside during the day with 100 deg heat. I did all my grocery shopping and kids dr appts and everything else early in the mornings. I'm ready for my routine to get back to normal..well, as normal as it can be. The only problem I've had is getting all my protein in. I will have to get creative with that. When I drink water or any liquids, my stomach grows/gurgles and it sounds huge just like before! That kind of freaks me out lol. Anyway, I hope everyone has a great week!!

Congratulations on your surgery and heading back to work!  Getting all your protein in at this early stage can be a challenge.  You are still swollen and as each day goes by it will get easier and easier.  Planning is your key to success at work and away from home.  Be ready for temptations and meet them head on.  When I was home it seemed so easy but when I was out in the world there seemed to be a pot hole at every turn

Keep us posted on how things go!

Heck no hahaha. But they really didn't know any way. They only knew about the hiatal hernia repair part of it.

That has not been a problem so far. Fortunately plain water and everything else tastes fine to me.
