Considering Op question

Hi all, I am considering surgery but have a question for the Post ops. Did anyone have severe edema and venous stasis in the legs. My leg lower legs and feet are very swollen all the time. Did it go away after surgery? I cannot show my legs, it is embarrassing. Do you now show off your legs?

For me the lower swelling went away after surgery... I have severe varicose veins. Do I get slight swelling occasionally? yes, but nothing compared to before. There are no guarantees what will happen with your legs- but if you lose the weight you will be healthier overall and I would say most people here have no regrets.

My edema was 10,000 percent better after surgery. Bones and veins stick out now.

My feet used to swell so bad that I could hardly walk on the at the end of the day. They are WAY better now! They don't look like hooves anymore lol.

I had severe edema in lower legs and feet. My legs and feet are so much better after surgery and weight loss! If I have been on my feet a lot my ankles will sometimes be a little puffy but nothing like pre wt. loss. I have venous stasis, bulging veins. I don't like it , so I went to a cardiologist that does vein treatment and after an ultrasound of blood flow to verify the issue (Dr. said if you can see the problem you have it). I am scheduled to have a procedure where he will use one to three types of methods to address the issue. It is considered non cosmetic due to the stasis issue so insurance will pay. My venous stasis had caused cellulitis leaving my leg looking like a huge red scar from the wounds. I am hoping to someday shrink it. The procedure sounds interesting though my cardiologist never talked about it. Perhaps the weight has to come off first. Thank you

My feet looked like balloons during the summer months from the edema.  Now I can see veins and bones and I do not get swelling at all.
