I thought I was spiralling

For the past couple of weeks, I have felt so down and defeated. Since my surgerycon 7/18/16, I have dropped from size 26 jeans to 18's. They are snug in the waist but getting baggier in the crotch and back. I see the difference, but felt like I wasn't where I should be. Well...I went to the Dr. this morning and I'm down from 283 to 265 since my last visit 5 weeks ago.. Not drastic, but he was pleased. My BMI is 7 points from being out of the MO range. I need to stop beating myself up and enjoy the ride. I'm doing what I'm supposed to be doing and the results show in my clothes and on the scale.

To anyone struggling, hangcin there sounds so cliche, but it's true. Good things will happen. Tool +Time=Progress.

I feel the same way off and on. I can still wear the same pants even though I have lost about 45lbs. I guess I had them stretched to the max or something. I was wearing a size 22 and can fit into an 18 but I don't have 18's right now so I was waiting until I reach a 16. I have tons of 16's. I decided to stop weighing myself until my next check up Nov 1st. It messes with me too much. Hang in there! This truly is a head game!

I've lost 80 lbs... and I still do this...

We have to get our mindset in the right place! I believe that a positive mind encourages so many other things... yet I beat myself up and keep wanting more and more!

I need to sit back and enjoy more of this too!

You lost 18lbs in 5 weeks!! That is 3+ lbs a week. That is great... as long as you are steadily moving int he right direction. Yes you ned to stay focused the first year and get the weight off.... but 3lbs a week is great.

Thank you.  I am feeling more encouraged now and feeling good about my success.  I really think I was comparing myself to others.  HUUUGE MISTAKE!  I am doing great and that is without exercise due to an auto accident on 9/11.  Dr. said NO strenuous activity.  Pretty soon, I'm going to hit the gym again and burn off some of this frustration...and fat!

Thank you Chris,

I guess I hadn't thought of it that way.  I think I got so caught up in my...whatever it was, I couldn't see the success.  I think I see so many that are farther out that look so great, I feel like I should be where they are.  Then I get discouraged.  You are absolutely right!

Thank you
