New member, surgery Nov 16, 2016 from Oshawa

New member, just had surgery 1 1/2 weeks ago, so far so good.  I am from Oshawa, anyone else?

I'm in Courtice! Still waiting for my surgery date.

Oh it's so nice to meet you, I'm Oshawa/Courtice area, off Grandview/Cherrydown.   I started my process in May 2015, and by the time I was done with all my appointments it was April this year.  They called me in August to give me a date it was only suppose to be Jan 9th, so I asked if there was a list for cancellation and she said yes, and she put me on it.  I finally got a call end of Sept to say they could take me Nov 16th so I took it.  You should ask for that when they call you with a date.  I never thought they would have an opening before, but they did.   I started the optifast at the end of October , didn't lose much on that, I wasn't drinking enough water in between I think.  But so far, since end of October I've lost 22 lbs, so it's a start!  Let me know if you need help with anything :)

I'm 16 years out and in Oshawa. 

Hello everyone :)  so glad to see people in my neighborhood.  Does anyone know of a support group around here?   I don't really want to drive to Toronto for this and I know they want us to join one!
